Sweet Home Alabama

This visit was bitter sweet. For as long as I can remember Alabama has been "home". Not that I have always lived in Alabama, because I haven't, but even when Dad was in the Army we would come to visit our grandparents and family in Alabama even we didn't live there. So this trip was different because my parents are selling their house and moving to Missouri for Dads new job. I am very excited for them, but I'm not sure when I'll ever be back to Sweet Home Alabama.

Warning: This blog has a lot of pictures! A LOT!

Xander giving me kisses before our flight.

Poppy picked us up at the airport and we met up with CC and her crew at Chick Fil A.

It was like Christmas at Poppy & CC's house.

Emit's Birthday present! Just what he asked for. "A BIG red firetruck with a ladder that makes noises and lights up." Very specific, but exactly what he wanted. He slept with it every night!

The boys busy playing after a long day traveling.

 Aunt T getting some kisses!

    Prunes...

     Yuck!!!

   X-Man enjoying his new exersaucer.

Apparently it taste good.

Tatum, Ava, & Dalton stopped by on their way t o school to say hi.

Dad & I had fun shooting at targets one afternoon.

 So cute!!!

Joss and his silly pose.

Sweet kisses... tired boy.

Emit wasn't so sure he liked sharing his Mommy.

 I love this little guy!!!

Emit looked adorable in his McQueen gear with his green bucket.

One happy CC!!!

CC is trying to kiss Joss, Joss Xander, Xander Emit, & Emit fleeing for his life. Classic.

Mom was so happy Xander fell asleep in her arms. Grannie Sargent looked pitiful. I pray she doesn't suffer any longer than necessary. Bless her heart! She loved seeing the boys, huge smile on her face the whole time we were there.

Tamara and her boys playing with some old Barbies they found in the basement. Hilarious!

After visiting with Grannie we took the boys to Noccolulu Falls to ride the train and play.

This fat lioness was purring like a house cat.

Big boy Joss crossing the monkey bars.

This is the face of determination!!!

Emit rode in the Ergobaby carrier with me for a while. I can't believe how big he is getting.

Next stop Ice Cream shop. Pick your own toppings.

A bit overwhelming for the Alabahamians I think!

Then we went to Wal-Mart and the boys each got to pick out a toy for their birthdays. One was late, and one was early, but I don't think they minded one little bit. Emit picked a remote control monster truck.

Joss picked out Bucky from Jake and the Neverland Pirates. Mission Accomplished.

Green Peas...
 Yes Please!!!

 Bath time Barbie. Lol!

Emit is 3, Xander is 7 months, & Joss is 4.

They are all SILLY!!!

Joss pouting.

Poppy & his "Xander Mander".

Peaches...
 if I must.

Emit and the silly baseball mask.

 Xander just playing.

Tickle time from Aunt T.

Monkey see...Monkey Do!!!

CC, Ava, Tatum & Xander.

 Potty break.

Cousins, oldest to youngest: Dalton, Ava, Tatum, Joss, Jake, Emit & Xander.

Xander wasn't about to miss out on any of the fun.

 So handsome!!!

Precious!!!

 All Smiles!!!

Emit ran up and down the driveway about a million times with that dump truck. Wore himself out.

Kisses from Dalt.

Backbends with Ava.

Jake and Joss are 1 month apart in age.

See no evil, speak no evil, & hear no evil.

Ava & Dalt doing cartwheels.

Emit joining in on the action. He was so cute copying the big kids.

Michelle & Braelyn

Coaches turned Mommies

Finally can wear my wedding rings again. Totally had to get them enlarged...a whole size. Geez!

Xander eating his first Mum Mum Rice Cookie.

He loved the CRUNCH sound!!!

Sweet boy about ready for a nap.

Fell asleep with Poppy. Awe!

New Jammies from Aunt T.  I sure love these boys!!!

Silly games with CC.

Sweet snuggles.

"No more peaches please."

 Goodbye Gator!!!

Joss was making silly faces at Xander on the ride to Atlanta. Xander was trying to copy Joss and the two of them had us cracking up. They were laughing so hard, and the harder Joss laughed, the more Xander would make the silly face back at him and so on. Priceless.

Xander picked up a new smile during our trip. He likes to scrunch his nose up now when he grins. It is so adorable. Love it!

Pics with all 3 Grands!!!

Emit and Poppy doing their dance.

 It's a Poppy Tree!!!

It's hard to get all 3 boys to smile at the same time. Lol!

I love the candids!!!

Xander was beating on Poppy's head like the new drum toy they got him. Lol! Too funny!

 Sneak attack!!!

Trying not to smile. Stinker!

Weeeeeeeeee!!!

Love Joss's expression in this one.

"Yup. I'm cute!"

Sleepy time kisses.

One tired little pumpkin.

Not feeling so great, spiked a fever when we got home to New Jersey. Not a good way to end a fun trip.

Bye, bye. We had a great time.

To be continued...
