Xander's 2nd Birthday

It's hard to believe our little guy is two! He has brought so much joy and happiness to our lives. We are truly blessed. We love you Birthday Boy!

Xander had a Bubble Guppie Birthday party and by party I mean us and the Wangrycht clan. We just live so stinking far away from our families it makes it hard for special occasions.   We still managed to have a super fun day.  Xander woke up to a room full of balloons and that was just upstairs.

We played like we always do in the morning.

He got to FaceTime with Poppy and CC.

Then we went downstairs, where the real fun was. More balloons all over the place. Xander loves "ba-woons"!

It's hard to see in the pictures but there are banners and Bubble Guppie decorations all over the place.

Xander spotted his pile of presents.

He got all kinds of great new toys. Thanks everyone!

However, once he spotted the Cars cars, it was all over. He loves the McQueen cartoons and characters.

"Try"! This is Xander's way of asking you to open something. He wants to try it out and see how cool it is.

Daddy helping Xander "try" out all is new cars.

We did his birthday just like Christmas, at his pace. He didn't want to do much of anything except play with his cars and drag strip Daddy got him though.

He got some other great gifts too, which he did finally show some interest in later. He got an awesome Mini pusher from Poppy & CC, complete with a tiny helmet for safety. A scooter and ukulele from Mommy, some great books and a moon night light from my sis and her boys, a xylophone, drum and Mr. Potato Head from Grandma and Grandpa Riggan. Aunt Karen and BrookeLynne sent him a Bubble Puppy Towel and a Matchbox Mega Garage which took Kevin almost 2 hours to assemble. Lol! He also got some cool mega bloks, a ball and a McQueen jacket from Erica and her girls. I think I got it all. If I missed something I apologize. Thank you all for your generosity and helping us celebrate our lil' guys special day even if you couldn't be with us. I didn't get pictures of him playing with everything, because sometimes I just like to enjoy whats going on without my camera in my hand.

Xylophone for X-Man!

Mr. Potato Head

Hey cutie!

Finally got all those stickers in place.

Funny story about Xander's Birthday cake. I had ordered Xander's DQ ice cream cake online several weeks in advance. Well at the last minute they call me and tell me they don't put pictures on them anymore. I had ordered a Bubble Guppies cake. Anyways, Xander loves ice cream cake so I still got it. This is what it ended up looking like. #ugliestcakeever
Needless to say I was not happy at all. This cake was too ugly to be my babies birthday cake. Side bar: When I got home the cake was too big for the freezer, so I actually had to cut this marvelous masterpiece in half to make it fit. Ugh! So I ordered a second regular cake that could have the Bubble Guppies picture on it from Albertson's, that wasn't cut in half. Lol!

This one looked much nicer, but the other one still tasted better in my personal opinion.

Xander thoroughly enjoyed his ugly ice-cream cake. Phew!

More cars...

He had fun playing with girls.

I think they had fun too.

Post party nap.

Time for more cars.

Happy Birthday 2 Xander! We love you!

Jan/Feb 2014

I'm playing catch up on the blog. Here is a recap of Jan. & Feb., minus a few special days and trips. They each have their own post.

Hail King McQueen!

He loves sunglasses and glasses. He calls them "eyes"!

Sleeping cutie!

More "eyes"!

Winter Wonderland...Vegas style.

Xander and I both agreed it was pretty lame.

Captain Adorable, I mean Captain America.

I love this boy soooooooo much!

He is so strong.

He says "wide" when he gets tired and is ready for a ride.

Sleepy boy in this picture, but enjoying his sucker none the less.
This was the day of the IRON BOWL. Xander is sporting his Auburn sweater. I drool blue!

Tigers are #1!

He played so hard that day he didn't wake up for the game until the very end when we all started screaming. You remember...when there was one second left on the clock. Alabama kicked and missed a field goal and Auburn ran it back for a 109 yard touchdown to win.

War Damn Eagle!

Kevin getting some snuggles before we leave for Missouri. Pictures from that trip are in a post called "Meet Me in St. Louie".

We both needed to rest we when got back from our trip.

Meanwhile in Roswell New Mexico Karen is battling with Cancer.  We love you Sis and are praying for your complete healing!

Xander is so cute when he naps.

Watching the iPad with Daddy.

Eating goldfish and if you look closely you can see Nike in the background. Lol!

Trying on silly hats at the store.

Awe!

He still loves his wheelie ramp.

Brooklyn Wangrycht drew this for us. From left to right Brooklyn, Me (with my giant bun), Xandy (which is what the girls call Xander), Kevin ( no hair at all), & Emma. It's nice to have some great friends in Vegas. The girls adore Xander and are so good to him.

Playing in the big dirt pile in the desert while the mutts run off some energy.

They got thirsty and all I had for them to drink out of was Xander's dump truck. Lol! It worked.

My handsome dude!

The many faces of X-Man!

He managed to unroll a complete roll of dental floss. I was watching him of course, but the container was messed up, so I let him have at it. Pretty impressive if you ask me. He worked on it forever.

Daddy reading him his "How to Train a Train" book.

Awe!

Look at those sweet cheeks!

Five Guys!

O-U-T!

Riding "Maymer" as X-Man says it.

I love the Olympics!

Xander making sure my uke is in tune.

Playing with McQueen....ALWAYS!!!

My new ride, the SWAGon!

Playing with his trains and cars.

Watching TV on his train table. He is a mess!

Airplane time!

Thoroughly enjoying his yogurt!

Z's for X!

Watching cartoons in his truck!

My funny Valentine!

Snoozing with Daddy.

Napping with Mommy.
