This has been a pretty busy week. To start out we had some very crazy thunderstorms. The dogs are terrified when it's thundering and lightning and want to be close enough to touch you. We were sound asleep when it started storming and not long afterwards Gandalf had made it upstairs and in to our bedroom. I was taking care of Xander because the noise had woke us up. It was scary intense outside, the whole house was shaking. So we got everyone downstairs in the living room and camped out for the evening. Xander was fine once he was in my arms. Nike and Gandalf were fine once they were near us. It amazes me how timid our big mutts are!
I had to get this shirt for Xander when I saw it @ Carter's. Local Cutie on Duty! :0) He is growing way too fast. I had to get him some new clothes, he is wearing 9-12 months already.
We got Xander a high chair. He looks so cute when he is sitting in it. It reclines a little, but he is constantly straining forward, trying to sit up like a big boy.
He cut his first tooth!
We finally bought some bedroom furniture. I have been oh so patiently waiting for this. We each got a nightstand.
I got a nice dresser.
Kevin got a gentlemen's wardrobe.
I have a feeling the dogs are going to enjoy scraps that Xander throws on the floor. He hasn't started eating any food yet, but he will soon. I look forward to those pictures.
X-man is getting better at tummy time every day! He can roll onto his belly, but still can't roll back over to his back. He needs Mommy's help to do that once he gets tired.
Sweet baby boy!
Gandalf is never far away! ( neither am I)
He likes sucking on chins now too!
I love this shot. He fell asleep on our bed while I was getting dressed, & yes he is sucking on his fingers!
Definitely the cutest Monster around!
We took an adventure on the train up to NYC to visit our friends Josh & Traci. Below is a picture of Xander & I @ the Little Silver Train Station. He looks like such a big boy!
Daddy decided to borrow X's Cookie Monster hat to keep his bald head from burning. :0)
Xander slept briefly on the way to NYC. BRIEFLY! It was definitely a day of sensory overload for our lil' guy.
He was very vocal on the train and subway. I'm really surprised he wasn't hoarse the next day. LOL! His lungs are super strong.
It was a very long, hot day for ALL of us, especially Xander. He did great though. Quite a little trooper.
He takes naps on his quilt during the day, that is, if he will let me lay him down. He has been a little more willing lately, because it has been sooooo hot.
He cut his 2nd tooth! BTW- it is very difficult to get pics of baby teeth!
This cracks me up. A person up the street has a huge wall built around their home. However, it looks like a crazy person might live there. All kinds of weird statues and things. Does anyone else find it odd for Jesus and an angel to be standing next to Optimus Prime and a cannon? The whole place is covered with pieces like this, next to a sign that says "Responsible For Our Own Children". Strange, very strange! Oh and it is a private residence.
Xander has discovered his toes and it is hilarious watching him trying to reach them.
So stinking cute! WEE-OO, WEE-OO!!
The dogs are so curious about Xander. Did I say curious, I meant jealous! Kevin has to love on them so they know we still love them too. They really are sweet around Xander. It's like the know they have to be easy.
Dog Day Afternoon with Gandalf.
Kisses from Nike.
We spent the 4th of July taking it easy @ home, watching STAR WARS. Xander got the rest of his 4 month old vaccines the day before and wasn't feeling very good. He had a fever most of the day and just wanted to cuddle. He still managed to give me a sweet grin. Poor baby! Every time Kevin hums the Darth Vader tune Xander smirks from ear to ear and sticks his tongue out. I will definitely get this on video. It is so cute!
My sweet lil' firecracker!
Tummy time in his room! He really is holding his head up so well. Strong lil' guy!
TO BE CONTINUED...

Xander is soooooooooooooooo cute, I really love that he is a happy baby - it's obvious in his little grin!!! The bedroom furniture is beautiful, you will love having the space underneath when cleaning your floors... That was a great present :0) G and Kevin on the couch is hilarious - I would have been burning up with that much body heat! Your trip to NYC looks interesting and I'm sure it will be easier when Xan Xan gets a bit bigger. Love that he wasn't shy about being vocal - I love the talk time we have on Skype and hearing him express his excitement ;0) He looks very sweet laying on his quilt with only a diaper - all baby and sweetness!!! Keep cool and thanks for the pictures and updates of your little man.
ReplyDeleteHugs and kisses!!!
Love it sis!! Your neighbors with the statues...yeah, FREAKS. But Xander man is adorable. Love all his little shots. Those dogs are going to LOVE it when he starts eating and snacking on food :) In all this heat, I can't help but think ahead to when you'll have wonderful fall weather and we'll still be sweating. Hopefully it will come soon for you guys though. Make sure Kevin works on the football theme song that he taught Joss when we were living with you. Can't wait to see his Star Wars smile :) Love y'all!!
